Built for backcountry trips where the weather turns hostile, the Sentinel XP1 holds its shape through genuinely severe conditions, not just light rain. A 40D polycarbonate-coated nylon floor rated to 25,000mm keeps water out on saturated ground, while self-equalising guylines and an aerodynamic Hex Hub pole architecture keep it stable in winds above 80km/h. Fly-first pitching and dry takedown keep the inner protected during setup and pack-down in the rain, and cross-flow AirLift vents cut condensation on long, wet nights. Steep walls open up genuine liveable space for a solo tent, and a vestibule gives weather-protected storage for a pack and wet gear.

As a young outdoor enthusiast, Roland Tyson (founder of Sea To Summit) had a passion and a talent for creating cutting-edge outdoor equipment for his own adventurers, and soon for other Australian adventurers. The certified B-Corporation and Australian investment firm, Five V Capital, signed an agreement with Sea to Summit to become the majority shareholder. This marks an important milestone in Sea to Summit’s history as the brand becomes a global player in the outdoor industry, continuing to grow and expand.
