The Waratah is Neve Gear's flagship ultralight quilt, fully redesigned for 2026/2027 to run warmer at a lower weight. 850+ fill power Ultrasonic Muscovy down sits under a 10D plain-weave nylon shell, with reduced baffle frequency letting each boxed baffle loft to its full height. A differential-cut footbox holds full loft around your feet, while the anti-draught pad attachment system clips to your mat with a positive button-press click. Choose from three temperature ratings (-2, -6 and -10°C) across Short, Regular and Long lengths, each cut wide to eliminate dead space while keeping room to move.

Features

850+ fill power Ultrasonic Muscovy down offers goose-down-level warmth, loft and compressibility with long-lasting durability and rebound.
Reduced baffle frequency lets each boxed baffle reach its maximum loft height for more warmth at the same or lower weight.
Boxed baffle construction prevents down migration and cold spots.
Differential-cut footbox maintains full loft around your feet without compressing the down, rare in open-footbox designs.
Open footbox unzips fully so the quilt opens flat, for temperature regulation or use as a throw.
Anti-draught pad attachment system with new button-press hardware gives a clear tactile click on attach and removal.
Redesigned overlap neck baffle seals in warmth without a cinch cord digging in.
Refined wide cut eliminates dead space while keeping freedom of movement.
10D plain-weave nylon shell (24g/sqm) balances low weight with durability.

Neve Gear founder, Ryan, and his designers are always looking for ways to develop new, innovative gear.

Neve Gear are constantly looking for ways to improve existing designs and come up with brand new ones, while still making them affordable.

Ryan developed the offset pad strap attachment system, which eliminates the most common problem of a hiking quilt, being draughts from cold air seeping in, while still having all of the positives of a quilt, being lighter weight, less constrictive and cheaper.
