As an experienced hiker and ski tourer, I was looking for a tent to add to my Second Arrow X and Slingfin Portal — something lighter, and a tent that offers a different kind of wilderness experience.
I have previously spent a couple of nights in a Six Moons Luna solo but found the head space way to tight, and was looking for a slightly more cost-effective alternative to the Durston X-Mid 1 or Gossamer Gear - The one, without sacrificing on quality.
I am really happy with how it performed. I took it out on a three‑day Vic Alpine trip and had rain, wind, and a lot of frost. I was initially a little concerned about a single‑wall tent, but given the generous size, I had plenty of room and never came close to touching the outer skin throughout the night — even though I roll around a lot at night.
I set it up a couple of times at home to get familiar with it; very easy and quick to pitch. A great choice for a lightweight, large one‑person tent.
I would probably get a larger stuff sack — a pet hate of mine is bags that are a touch too tight.
