When a backpack needs total protection from the elements, Peak Design's Outdoor Rain Fly is built for exactly that. Waterproof Terra Shell 50D recycled ripstop nylon, a 2,000mm hydrostatic coating and fully-taped seams keep your pack dry through the heaviest downpours, while a cinchable elastic cord around the perimeter pulls the cover tight against your bag. Laser-cut drainage holes at the bottom let any moisture that seeps in escape quickly, so it doesn't pool inside. When you don't need it, the Rain Fly stuffs into its own zippable mesh pouch, which can hang outside your bag to dry out rather than trapping moisture inside your pack.
