A tarp only works for ultralight purists if the fabric holds up its end of the deal, and the Twinn Tarp's custom ClearSkies fabric does. A 15D recycled Robic base with a dope-dyed ripstop SIL/PU coating pushes hydrostatic head to 4,923mm — beyond most three-season tents — while shedding morning dew on contact rather than soaking it up. The catenary-cut ridgeline pitches taut with a single set of trekking poles, cutting wind flap and shaving weight over a flat-cut design. At 47 square feet it's genuinely roomy for one and workable for two, with bug net loops at each end for pairing with separate insect protection. Factory-taped seams and pre-attached guyline mean it's ready to pitch straight out of the stuff sack.
