Though each Patagonia® product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, the fit descriptions can be generalised in four ways:

Formfitting Conforms to the body's contours.
Slim Fit Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
Regular Fit Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.
Relaxed Fit Drapes loosely on the body.

Patagonia's R1 Air Fleece Midlayer Zip-Neck is a lightweight, breathable technical fleece built for cool-weather activity, from cold starts on the trail to high-output days on the move. A 100% recycled polyester jacquard fleece with hollow-core yarns wicks moisture and dries fast, while a zigzag-knit pattern boosts airflow and keeps the fabric compressible with minimal bulk. Offset shoulder seams sit comfortably under pack straps or a harness, and a quarter-zip neck adds venting and makes layering easy. A back-right zippered pocket stashes small items without getting in the way of pack or harness lines, and quick-drying woven binding at the cuffs and back hem improves fit and durability. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
