I'm not familiar with the brands you sell

The standard local delivery time from our store in Melbourne for orders placed before 12 noon is 2-7 business days via Australia Post standard delivery. Express Post is also available. Please see our Shipping page for more details. International Orders are subject to flight availability.

There is a size chart on every product page relating to that brand.

Returns

We understand sometimes things are just not right, we get it, so if you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase we will happily accept your return and provide you with one of the following options: store credit, refund, or an exchange. Whatever works best for you. Read our full Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

Price matching

Our price matching policy is on a case by case basis at the discretion of Backpacking Light. This takes into account but it is not limited to factors such as stock availability, shipping, GST, lead times, and any fitting or customization required. Please note, this only applies to like for like items (i.e. colour, size etc.)

If you see a better price on one of the products that we sell from another Australian-based website and would like to inquire about a potential price match please email sales@backpackinglight.com.au including a link to the price you would like us to match. Please note this is not able to be done over the phone.

Gift Cards

You can redeem the value of a Gift Card by entering its unique code in the appropriate field at checkout. Gift Card codes aren't case sensitive.

Gift Card balances are applied to the total value of an order, including GST and shipping.

If the balance available on the Gift Card is less than your order total, then you'll be prompted to choose a second payment method for the balance before placing your order.

If your gift card was purchased prior to 11 Mar 2023, try appending "BPL" to your gift card code. For example, if your existing gift card code is 12345, try entering BPL12345.

If that doesn't work, please contact us and we will issue you a replacement gift card.

Yes, provided there is still a balance remaining on the card.

Yes. You can redeem multiple Gift Cards during checkout.

You can click "Resend gift cards" from your order confirmation email. If you can't find your order confirmation email, or your gift card was purchased prior to 11 Mar 2023, please contact us.

Unfortunately, we can't offer a way for you check your own Gift Card balance, but you can ask us and we will send you the information

If you'd like to buy a Gift Card for someone else, then you can forward the Gift Card email to the recipient.
